Join us on Thursday, April 5th from 5–7pm at the Albion-Heatherington Community Kitchen for a free, public dinner cooked by long-time residents who will share their cultures and traditions through food! We will talk about the roles, customs and histories of dishes and ingredients, where people find specific ingredients locally, and how dishes have had to be adapted to fit the local context. This is the first in the Taste the World series, which will continue every second week all spring and summer long.
We’re excited to use this new, top of the line, “first in Ottawa” community kitchen which was developed thanks to the efforts of Councillor Diane Deans. It is a great spot to hold discussions over good, quality food. We hope to see you there!
